Take a favorite shirt, add a bouquet of flowered or plaid fabrics and sew together to make 'Just My Cup of Tea' Dress. This pattern is most suitable for sizes 8-24. Please note that, as issued, there are no pattern pieces for the skirt - it is cut from a panel of fabric. The pattern contains applique pieces.
For these dresses, you will need:
1 short or long sleeve button down blouse without pockets or with a pocket on the left side of the blouse
2 1/4 yards fabric for skirt of dress
1/2 yard fabric for panel on front of skirt
Matching thread
11 buttons to cover, size 7/8" diameter. Be sure one button package has an assembly kit
24" or longer straight ruler
1 yard wonder-under transferable web
For the Tea Cups dress, you will also need scraps of plaid and floral fabrics, scraps of solid color fabric, 1 bee button, embroidery floss and tracing paper.
For the Plaid Garden dress, you will also need scraps of plaid fabric, maybe a solid print or two for pockets and applique.
